Themed posts we do here…

MAID MONDAY – every Monday fromthestreetsofharajuku posts photos of maid cosplay, maid cafes, school uniforms, traditional Japanese fashion such as kimonos and yukatas, maikos/geishas, and the occasional cosplay…We began this trend to was create a day to celebrate the other quirky fashion cultures of Japan, though not entirely “street” fashion.

GAIJIN APPRECIATION – there are many talented boys and girls all over the world who partake in wearing Japanese street fashion styles, despite not actually living in Japan. After every 100 followers we gain, this blog takes the time to feature some of these incredibly talented people, showing that street fashion everywhere is beautiful! ♥

PRETTY LADY OF THE DAY – while browsing the internet for photos to post on this site, the creator would often come across pretty photos and portraits of the girls portrayed in the fashion or cosplay shoots in “casual” or “everyday wear”, that were just so pretty that she wished she could find a way to share them along with real Japanese street fashion. “Pretty Asian of the Day” was her solution! So once a day, a photo will be posted of a random girl, either from the “casual” sections of cosplay sites, the blogs of reader models of lesser-known Japanese fashion magazines, or musical idols and other Japanese celebrities that don’t really have anything to do with the fashion world but are still interesting to look at.

Fromthestreetsofharajuku also holds other miscellaneous themed days, usually depending on the season (swimsuits in the summer, sexy Santa outfits that Japan is famous for in the winter, etc.) so be sure to be on the lookout for more exciting blog events! ♥
